Chronotherm Thermostats

Honeywell's Chronotherm III Thermostats include the features that you need in a programmable thermostat....

Honeywell's Premium thermostats offer:

A Reflection of Quality on You

The thermostat is the visible portion of heating and cooling system. The quality of the thermostat in control reflects the quality of the entire system. A Honeywell Chronotherm thermostat on the wall represents the finest quality performance and reflects your concern for installing only the very best.

The Continuous Power Story

Most energy saving thermostats are designed for replacement in existing homes. They use a "power stealing" wiring technique or batteries for power to avoid running an extra wire. In retrofit applications, running another wire can take extra time. If you are pulling wires, use a hard-wired thermostat in retrofit applications too. The cost of running five wires instead of four is next to nothing during new construction. Honeywell designed a whole line of energy saving thermostats specifically for new construction. You can buy a new construction thermostat for five to ten percent less than a replacement thermostat because we don't have to compensate for not having continuous power. Continuous power is more reliable because the thermostat has been hardwired directly to the system transformer. The thermostat has its own direct source of power. No batteries are required. Batteries are great for backup, but the aren't as reliable for continuous service or accurate time keeping. Continuous power also means no worries about heating and cooling equipment compatibility.

Continuous power requires that a separate cable with an additional conductor be pulled to the thermostat location.
